Re: [Chrysler300] Thanks for the Memories!

Well thanks Rob for the kind words, and to everybody else, I NEED HOSTS!
If you want to keep having these Meets, then YOU MUST HELP!!!

Starting with Spring of 2008, the Spring and Fall Meets in 2009 and on.
A few members have contacted me over the last few years, but they were
either too far out on the fringes or it was too soon after another Meet
in the same area. Some locations just won't work, but at least, let's
talk about YOUR idea.
I try to spread these out so everyone will have a meet within a days
drive every 2 years or so. (Sorry Leftys, but nothing is within a days
drive out there! But we'll come back.)
Many of us are die hard Meet goers, so will travel far to get to them
as it really is an extended family for us. We all miss not seeing our
300 friends if we have to stay home.

Since we are going to be in Springfield, IL this Fall, and Maine next
fall, then most anything for next spring would be worth looking at.

It's time for the members, and I mean YOU, to step up to the plate. The
Spring Meet in OH is hosted by the Spears, who have done several Meets
in the past and stepped in twice to fill a hole in my schedule. Other
officers have done the same, many times. The Fall 2006 meet is hosted
by Jo Ann and I for the same reason. This is the second one I've had to
Host long distance for lack of a local Host. The Nashville meet I drove
500 miles each way, several times before the Meet, to have things
organized for you guys. I enjoy it, I don't mind doing it, but just
can't do that any more.

A local Host is the key to a successful Meet, as they know what to do,
see and avoid. They can spend an hour or so, here and there, over
months attending to details. It doesn't take a lot of time, money
(expenses are reimbursed) or effort, until the week of the meet, then
it gets intense. But having coordinated this for 17 years or so, I can
tell you that I've never had a Host that didn't find it rewarding and
fun after the dust settled, and all the 300 nuts went home.

Call me @ 479-394-5738, e-mail me @ hurst300@xxxxxxxxxxxx or see me at
a Meet, I can get you started and support you thru the whole deal.

Ray Jones
Meet Host Coordinator.
