[Chrysler300] dim lights and bouncing needle.



I see buy the parts book for a G that the alternator is a 45 amp unit. 
This low capacity probably amplifies the electrical eccentricities
especially at idle.  I know there are higher capacity rotors and stators
for most alternators so I took mine to a local and reputable re builder. 
It tested at 60 amps and when disassembled it could be seen that the
rotor had been replaced.  I had them replace the stator and now it tests
at 90 amps.  $84 including new bearings and brushes.

It is not yet back on the car so haven't seen the results.
