Re: [Chrysler300] Member with an overheating problem with his K

There were lots of good things to check listed here, and I will add one more. My 300G was overheating on 90 degree days here in Georgia. I noticed that the rubber flap attached to the hood for sealing on the radiator support was missing and the bare clips were still in the hood. I made a new rubber flap and it greatly improved cooling. Later models use a rubber seal on the radiator support that seals to the hood. Without the seal, air takes the path of least resistance and flows over the radiator.

  Hi Carlton,
Got schooled in the benefits of a fan shroud on my Ram AC K. Glad to talk with Chuck. I'll reach out to him directly, but if we don't connect you can relay my phone number. (610) 940-1557.

  Hello,

Chuck Carlino, a current Club member from O'Fallon, MO has an overheating problem with his non-AC K. He said it has always been a problem but hopes to correct / help it with a fan shroud (from an AC car), if he could find one. Chuck thought a 63 shroud would also fit.

Chuck doesn't have email so if you could call him at 636-281-1849 that would be a big help. Otherwise you could email me and I will let him know.

Chuck may be able to attend the Spring meet but his wife is ill so he is uncertain if that will work out.

  Thanks,

  Carlton Schroeder
