And my floor is out of a rust-free Dodge four-door from Phoenix (Hidden Valley Auto Parts). It, too, is identical to the Chrysler two-door.

I thought they were alike, at wheel well, but J-Y thinks  this 4 dr one took some extensive rework of rear wheel opening at front , on F, does not look right.  . A mess of bondo, hard to know what really happened.

But seconding Keith, we used a 59 Desoto LWB 4 dr  floor pan,  from Montana guy, and the whole (nice!) Desoto 4dr frame ---and some other parts to fix a C convert . I thought it really odd that LWB 4 dr and 2 dr used same basic stampings in floor, 57-59 ..it is just where the door posts are attached, and some readily addressed variations in the body mounts that stick off the frame  .Makes sense after the fact , same raw floor stamping.

Had to weld convert X into Desoto, extend front mounts off C frame for bumper.

We are interested in 60-62 patch panels too..all MOPARs need those ; even if I find a quarter, it will probably have rust , particularly inner panel of trunk floor that drops down to join at wheel well ,and lip of wheel opening, section that joins to rocker; rocker,  ; tops of front fenders and lower rear part of front fenders too. These things existed, were common, cheap, must be a BIG left over pile somewhere..

Just FYI, biggest rust/structural problem on C convert was front door post area near floor..all gone ---had to make from scratch. Inner and outer parts too , behind front wheel well. Lots in there…

One C saved !!

I can't say how well it would come out on an F, but it worked extremely well on my C. I bought a pair of 4-door Saratoga quarter panels from Jeff Carter because of extensive rust issues on my entire lower quarters, and we used roughly the lower half of each of them.Having the original stamped wheel openings of the 4-door saved a ton of work and looks perfect.

I've been meaning to ask. If one were just looking for the metal around the
rear wheel well opening to repair rust damage would the wheel well opening
metal from a four door work? The metal at the front of the opening would be
limited due to the proximity of the door but otherwise is the opening size
and contour the same? The opening on a G I'm working on was stabilized by a
previous owner's good work with some fiberglass. But if I ran across a good
panel from a four door is it useable for that section? Would openings from
other Chrysler cars of that year (Windsor, Newport, etc.) be the same? If so
given the somewhat modest body restyling for '62 would those four doors have
the same rear openings as the '61's ? A lot to ask but I imagine someone has
previously looked into this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all, ,

We need a 60 Chrysler passenger side quarter panel from convert (right) or
coupe ; restoring a real terra cotta F, had been hit, we found half xxx 4
door quarter panel had been grafted on 30 years ago + , does not fit right,
they made new fender lip of solid bondo ( not rusted there!) . As result of
poor body work, trunk lid fit awful. Wheel well rippled/crushed, left like
that.

I have a hope someone paring down the pile (me too!) has a clip or a pass
side panel hanging on a wall..with a wheel well..??

Obviously, tried the usual suspects , no luck.

Any help greatly appreciated,

John
