RE: [Chrysler300] Stalling problem seems to be solved

I kind of recall that there was a Chrysler tech service bulletin advising RAISING float levels to cure this in the C-300.  Apparently, Carl Kiekhaefer’s crew figured out a solution for left turns, anyway.  Stalling out in turns on the NASCAR tracks would not have cut it with Carl.  Whatever fix there was, it was not applied to our C-300 as it would sometimes stumble in hard left turns such as at intersections.  Less of a problem after electric fuel pump was installed.

Mark,

Good.  Now we all know.  Thanks for the update.

*  300's with WCFB's used to do this all the time on certain sharp turns but the fix for this was in drilling a hole somewhere, if I remember right.

Hello Again,

After talking with Jim McGowan from the Quad Shop who rebuilt my AFB, I adjusted the floats lower and this seems to have solved the stalling problem on right turns. I will keep my fingers crossed

Thanks again for all the suggestions and assistance.  I enjoyed all the conversations.

Hello,

Thanks for those of you that offered advice on my recent stalling problem as well as the issue of contaminated brake fluid.  I was able to get a local shop in Holland to flush the brake fluid and the system now works well.

The stalling on right turns continues to be a mystery.  I will need to diagnose it in the upcoming weeks.  Have a great meet in Holland, MI.
