Re: [Chrysler300] An indication of a soft market?

Remember can look great , beautiful new paint , and actually be a total bondo baby . Been there . No rust at all -ever - is worth a huge premium in my book, ( works other way too) having junked 2-3 300F converts way back due to total rust out underneath . Both “ Looked ok” . “ surface rust” Also had a 62 Polara 500 red convert that looked wonderful— broke in half at firewall. Upstate NY is death on cars ...
also had an F coupe recently —looked awful , rust patches all over body, left outside, but was unrusted underneath .
Cars from southwest sometimes have original grey prime w/ out any undercoat underneath . That is the Best Buy. Beware nice black recent undercoat .
One that needs some work , but is not rusted is worth 2x to me vs . a nice looking one that is all plastic in lower body . Or has frame / unibody structure rust .
Mho.
