Re: {Chrysler 300} Urban Legends

In 1962 Illinois State Troopers had a fleet Chrysler 300 cruisers only on the newly opened Tollways.  People had the idea Tollways had no speed limits and had to test out their new steads.  Rumor was these 300's had overdrive rear-ends and were capable of 160 MPH!
I had opportunity to purchase one of these cars when decommissioned in 1965 but could not afford the $200.00 price!!
