Not sure what year 300 you have, Mike. But if it's a 1957 - 59 (and maybe later), you must use an original seal. NONE of the repro seals will work. For 1955-6, Steele Rubber makes quality repro windshield and rear glass seals.

 

Idea: It would be great if the club's Repro Parts Committee could take on a project like this. Or maybe the 57 or 58-9 windshield gaskets ? Maybe a partnership with Steele Rubber, where the club underwrites a part of the cost of the mold, if not the whole thing ?

Hi All,

I am looking for recommendations for a qualified shop or person that can properly install rear glass and new seal. Glass shop around here said they knew how, but failed - it now leaks and the guy said “that’s the best I can do”. 

 I’m in the Milwaukee / Chicago area and willing to travel for this fine art.  

Also, it was great to see the immaculate 300s and meet fellow members at Iola this weekend.  Gives me motivation to continue my restoration.
