Re: {Chrysler 300} crunching numbers

Looks like it could 'buff out'.

How about the tragic state of this stick shift B?

Mark shot these photos a few years ago - Steve Hoker’s - had it rusting away in the wonderful Illinois climate! I was at a car show with my F this past Sunday - got into a conversation with a fellow I hadn’t previously met. He knew Hoker and had seen the B. Said the delta wing air cleaner had collapsed down onto the rusted-away valve covers.

I had met Hoker a couple times - 10-15 years ago - an unusual looking fellow who told me he had a B. I suggested he bring it to shows so we could see it, but he said it wasn’t driveable. I didn’t expect this sad an ending.

Crunching numbers for the 300B.

Ever wonder how many Bs had AC?

65 cars had AC. That is 5.8% of production.
31 of those were white cars, 25 were black,
and 5 were regimental red cars.

How many B's had the Torqueflite?

25
The earliest Torqueflite car
was built Jan 28 1956 dispelling the notion that the Torqueflite was a late year addition.
Since we are talking transmissions, there were 30
built with the manual -- the Torqueflite is more rare than the manual!

How many B's were built for export?

33.
13 went to Paris. 3 went to Cuba, 1 went to Kuwait. The Kuwait car had AC and
it was a heater delete (one of 24 heater delete cars).

Do you have any more B trivia?

Unfortunately for you, I do.
