RE: {Chrysler 300} 15" Wheels

Based on Tony’s most excellent article,  I purchased the 15x6 steel wheels from Wheel Vintiques last year for my ’62 Sport. They fit and function well – they will fit ’63 as well.   I used ’66 disc brake covers and substituted new 300 center emblems for an “H/J wannabe” look.  Another good choice would be ’63 Imperial covers which have no lettering on them, they are relatively plentiful and inexpensive and they will look great on a ’63.  See photo below for an example with a well used cover fitted for illustration.  15” wheels and covers look better IMHO especially on 62-64.

Hi Richard:

Please reference this tech article on our website:

If your ‘63 300 will run a 15” wheel & tire and your hubcaps will fit on a 1960 wheel, you can get new 15” wheels that 14” hubcaps will fit from Stockton Wheel. It is the 2 bump version. You would use 235/75R15 tires.

Hello everyone I am just starting this adventure.I purchased the car in November 22 but have been working on an old Wills Jeep.  I have a few questions if you kind folks will bear with me. I have started on my 1963 300. It presently has the original 14" wheels and tires from pre 1984. I would like to go up to 15" wheels for more selection and options on tires and possibly disc brakes at some point. I assume the 14" hub caps will not fit the 15" wheels. Does anyone know a good source for the factory steel wheels and hub caps? I just hate to buy 14" tires knowing I want to go to 15" in the future,I think it would be better to bite the bullet and do it first. Any value in the 14" wheels and hub caps for resale? Any thoughts?

Thanks in Advance
