I've got a 64' Sports Fury with the 383 and a 727 auto tranny that has recently been restored/rebuilt. Everything works great but the motor keeps overheating. I've have changed the termostat and coolant but it still overheats. Does anyone know why it keeps overheating on me or a way to keep it cool. I have heard that the tranny is cooled by the radiator and this may be the cause? Any suggestions would be greatly appersiated

Since you had the motor rebuilt did you "hypo" it up a bit? If so, you may now not have the capacity for your rebuild.
Actually when does it overheat?
around town? ((likely a restriction in the rad)
or is it a gradual thing as you are going down the highway?
