Re: Marc

Hi Hank,

I had a 1966 Hemi Charger with a 4.10 sure grip. I decided to swap out the gears for a 3.23 sure grip so I could drive it over 60 mph without the engine screaming plus I was taking it on a 2,000 mile round trip. There was nothing wrong with the stock bearings but on the advice of a drag racing friend who was helping me we switched over to Green bearings so I wouldn't have to adjust the axle end play any more. In less than 6,000 miles the bearings were shot and I had to go back and install a new set of stock bearings.

I've since read that Green bearings offer no side to side support and fail quickly in street applications. They are for drag racing only and are actually only listed under the "racing" section of the manufactures catalog.

Hopefully you wont have the same problem I did.

Dan
