RE: Battery Relocation Question

I am moving the battery to cleanup the engine compartment.  The battery 
has been in the trunk for the last year however I just had it strapped 
down on a rubber mat through the body plug holes. I have a Taylor 
aluminum battery box that I want to install in the trunk.  The Taylor 
box is not correct for the car but it will look good and protect the 
battery.

I have not had any problem with starting however I did run 1/0 cable 
(also referred to as 0 cable).

I looked at the battery relocation kits and most had #2 wire.  I asked 
on this site about wire size and was told that 1/0 was the minimum I 
should use. I am running 1/0 from the battery directly to the starter.  
I have the negative ran to under a rear bumper bracket bolt and at the 
engine I have a 1/0 cable from one of the steering gear box bolts to the 
engine block.

It works for my 383, I may have trouble with a larger engine.
