Re: What does a gallon of gas weigh?

Don't guess based on comparing gas to water.  Water is 8.35 lbs.  Gas
is 6.15 lbs. because it's less dense.  See link below:

Of course, Don Dulmage would tell you an imperial gallon weighs something else.
