Re: Here's Bill M's SCAM car...

The colours are not the same but it does look like the same car. Which means the Sport Fury is a phoney as the Sport Fury came as a 2-door hardtop and not a 2-door sedan.

My favourite is the 1965 "Arcadia Chevy II Super Sport" - love the fact the seller claims it is all "original" with -
- 1 repaint
- built 355 block (originally came with a choice of 194 six, 283 V8 or 327 V8) - Turbo 350 trans (you had either 3-speed manual or Powerglide in 1965. Turbo HM arrived for 1967) - and those wheels were not available in 1965. They came out a little later.

The colour is "Crocus Yellow", not "Sunfire Yellow", same colour as the American 1965 Chevrolet - even the same code "Y". "Very clean and rare SS" - except it is an Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe.

"Arcadia" Can't even spell the name correctly with the it right in the grille in the centre of the photo - "Acadian".

Is it just me or is the same car shown twice on that web page?

The first listing is dated 1/14/09 and the car is an original Savoy 13.5:1
car with a code dated motor etc for $59K. 11 cars down the list dated
1/30/09 appears to be the same car this time documented to be a Max Wedge
Sport Fury that had an 11.0:1 motor, for $23,500. Am I all wet or is that
the same car?

The phone number is based in Monroe, MI, downriver Detroit. Could be legit,
but...
