RE: them exhaust studddddddddds

I had a b***h of a time getting my exhaust studs/bolts to seal on my
440. I used what my machinist suggested which leaked. I used Don's
suggestion of the Permatex Ultra Copper which I ended up re-doing more
than once on one or two stubborn ones. I tried bolts. I tried studs.
I ended up with a combination of the two. I eventually got it but there
was a lot of "blue air" in my garage getting there. I talked to my
machinist about it as there was one in particular where the threads were
suspect. He said he was sure all of the threads were good and added
that you shouldn't use the Ultra Copper because silicone & anti-freeze
"don't get along". So far so good but I have very few hours on the
rebuild.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
