guage refurbishing.

Has anyone had success with removing  all the fine scratches from the clear 
plastic cover over the speedometer and guages? Also the radio dial.  That 
plastic face is attached to the rest of the assembly with melted plastic 
studs. Anyone have a way of getting it off? Thanks for any 
input....................MO
