Id try a small block of steel that way you can hit that and not damage studs

Try hitting it hard with a small sledge hammer between the lugnuts on the front face,that it more effective

Haha yes I took off the bearing and nut. It's a single, I've been calling around 
for the last hour no one has my drums :-( then things are 80 bucks too. Now 
someone said something about getting the hub off the drum. Can that be done at 
home?
