RE: Dual Point or Elect Ign?



The reason I use Pertronix is I don't have to play were do I hide the box it just looks out of place on a nice pre 70s MoPar.  But if your not concerned about looking original whom cares!  The only problem with a dual point is maintaining the points, electronic install them and forget them.  Point maintenance is nothing for us old guys, but seem to be a issue for younglings'.  (-;

The first thing I always do when I get a new B block MOPAR is to install MOPAR electronic ignition. Simple job and I've never had a problem over the years. Just go to your friendly Dodge or Chrysler dealer parts department. I've never used Petronix so I can't comment. Actually I never had a problem with dual point distributors, but they're definitely more work to maintain.
