Re: Parts to make a Street Wedge FAST!?

As stated earlier by Mike, 11's are not going to happen with a street wedge without a great amount of money and modifications, including Maxi Wedge parts. You will need great amount of HP to move you're 3700 lb car to 11 sec.
Rear end changes, rebuilt trans, and probably a roll bar(?). If you plan on running it at the drags?
Mike suggested a 440, possible stroker, basically, " how fast does your wallet want to go"?
I'm thinking probably 600 to 700 hp, to move that car to 11's. I believe there is a formula, that tells you how much HP is needed to move a certain weight over a certain distance and time? I just don't know it. Good luck.

Subject: Parts to make a Street Wedge FAST!?

Hello Fellow 62-65er's

As most of you know I just bough my dream car, a '64 Sport fury street
wedge, sorry if I sound stupid but I just don't know that much about
the 426 Street wedge motor.

I would like it to run low 11's and would like to know what
performance parts you guys would fit to acheive this?, I am under the
presumption trhat 440 RB perforamce parts would be the ones to fit
this motor would that be right?

I would also like to buy some old school parts to give it that
original olds shool look rather than modern bolt on stuff, so any
suggestions on where to get that stuff would be a great help.

Also I don't want to Max Wedge it, I love the fact that is't a street
wedge and want to keep it that way.

Thanks in Advance Guy's
