Re: Mopar Movies

Chrysler had a huge presence in those '60's movies.  One of our "routines" at the house is; at 5:00 while making dinner, we turn on the TV and watch 2 episodes of "Adam 12" and 2 episodes of "Dragnet".  There are a ton of Mopars in those shows.  Although "Friday and Gannon" drive a Ford Fairlane in Dragnet, it's fun to see all the older cars and trucks.

I know this has been discussed before, movies like " It's a Mad, Mad,
World" with a ton of early Mopars, and "Serpico" , and "In the Heat
of the Night " ( I know Warren Bates drives a 63 Plymouth cop car ). I
was watching a western today with Glenn Ford and Henry Fonda called '
The Rounders" made in 1965. Lots of 63-65 Mopars , a 64 Dodge cop car,
Chill Wills in a Chrysler wagon, and Glenn Ford drove a Dodge truck in
this one. ( Ford in a Dodge - classic ! ) Sure could tell Chrysler
supplied all the cars for this one.
