Re: 1963 Plymouth Fury Convertible fs

The Convertible may not have been, a buddy of mine checked in the database, it was a flood damaged car.  But it didn't say if was fresh or salt water.  Both can be recovered if gotten to quickly.  I had a 1974 Pinto that got caught in a flood, Muddy river water up to the radio.  Got it towed home the next day.  It was underwater for 8 hours.  Took out the insides, hosed them off, hosed off the carpet, pulled the body plugs, changed the oil, just a little water in it, a little bit in the tranny and rear end seems ok, and washed the mud out of the rear brakes.  Car was good as new.  So they can make it but ins. company don't care, water means gone.   But it looked nice to me

I thought the same thing - good values.  The '65 Bel 2 was the worst deal.  That convertible was a steal in my opinion.

I agree Gary, that 62 Dart was a steal. In fact I'd say they were all a bargain. I wonder how many were bought up by flippers and wind up on eBay or Craigslist for double the price.
