I am still using the regulator buy I should take it off as it really isn't needed with the Mallory. I do not have any restart issues. I just turn the key on for a second and then it's ready to go. Also I don't see a need for a spacer with the new manifold and it would be a problem for hood clearance. There's a big space to keep the carb isolated from the engine. If I do feel a need I think some insulation under the runners would be a better idea.

Glad it's working with the new intake. I know this new pump is a constant pressure not requiring a regulator. Are you still using the regulator and with this combo do you have this restart problem.

Yes I am using it. It's really a nice pump. I certainly recommend it over the Holley Blue. My wife will ride with me without ear plugs now :-)
