Thanks,

It had never occurred to me to lift the car with an engine lift and take the engine out the bottom.

Thanks Everyone -

I do have the levelling bar and I use it on my 338 4-speed car for pulling the engine and transmission, I do remove the hood as said it takes a high lift and sharp angle to take the engine and transmission out as a unit.

I didn't know if the Poly would come out well with the 727 transmission in that the transmission appears physically larger.  I would like to leave the transmission in and not screw with the cables but it also needs work.

Sounds like fun taking it out the bottom but i don't have a lift.

Thanks Again Guys

Hello,

I'm going to be pulling the engine and transmission out of my 64 Belvedere.

When I pull the 383 and 4-speed transmission out of my 64 SF I can pull them together.  Can I do the same with my 64 that has a 318 Poly and 727 automatic?  I need to work on both the engine and transmission.

Thanks
