Re: Downsizing Oil Filters

Go to Amazon.com type PH 16 in their search it’s under $4.00 and delivered to your door.

I'm wondering why you'd prefer to lessen your oil capacity with a
smaller filter?

I'm collecting supplies to start winterizing the Fury. So I go to AutoZone
for oil and filter. The Fury has a 383 with P/S and A/C and an aftermarket
radiator with electric fans, so oil filter room is tight.

Several years ago, I switched from a Fram PH8A, to a Fram PH 43 which is
shorter and that helps. So I can't find it at AutoZone and I ask the sales
clerk, and he says try a Fram PH16 which he stocks. It is smaller even than

the PH 43. Inlet thread and gasket all look same.

Does anyone have any experience with that filter? I don't intend to start a

debate over brand, just asking about experience of others.

Thanks in advance.
