Just like it/they came from the factory (-not usually!). Thank you for driving your cars, in such immaculate condition. Edited by d500neil 2013-05-15 4:58 PM

Extreme Veteran Posts: 341 Location: Wisconsin | Hi, I am part of the family that sold this car to Magnus. When we bought the car, we were told that his car was purchased new by Elvis Presley for his pastor. I don't know if this is true, but if you send in a request for the information on the car from the Chrysler Historical Society, it should show where it was sold new. Obviously a Tennessee or surrounding area dealer would be a good indication the rumor is true.

Elite Veteran Posts: 673 Location: Malung, SWEDEN | Here are quite a few pictures from last weekend's adventure in Finland, where we visited "Jenkkiauto" car show in Lahti. The trip started of course in the pouring rain and the cars were thoroughly filthy before we came to Stockholm. The rain stopped when we drove on the boat, Silja Symphony.... Silja Symphony belongs to one of the two major companies operating Finland and launched in 1990. It is powered by four impressive Wärtsilä Vasa 9R46 diesels. Summer season is over, desolate and cold on the sundeck. The Baltic Sea is calm luckily. It provides a tremendous sense of freedom to be out at sea. Helsinki is a historically interesting city, (I can tell you about another time) Trip second stop for fuel. Finnish petrol in the tank felt good. After a full afternoon and evening cleaning of the cars were the results like this. The Polara glitters in the light! Exciting design! From another time. Wherever you look you see exciting design! Beautiful or not. It is in the eyes of the beholder! Original Dodge dealership material in place!!! The New Yorker finished after many hours of cleaning... The car maintains the highest class right through The car is as I mentioned before sold new in France. Here it is in place in Lahti, 55 years later. More elegant than ever. Many visitors took the opportunity to photograph the car and show their appreciation. We were well received in the Finnish Mopar Association that offered refreshments and good company all weekend. The club showed a very nice Hemi Cuda Other interesting FL cars at the show were custom icon Esa Salo's spectacular 70's creations.... Of course, in patinated condition as they were found. This is far from patinated! But still spectacular, what a interior! The design feels heavy and majestic. The Imperial exudes luxury and glamor! A car for celebrities and noble. It was a long post, more to come....

Elite Veteran Posts: 673 Location: Malung, SWEDEN | The Finnish city of Lahtis is known for its culture around American vehicles but also for its expertise in Kemppi products tested! Welding and grinding for audiences.
Interesting construction, you are free to work out which engine it will be installed in the future .... Inspired by Barris? The construction was an exciting element in the carshow. Barris inspired or not, the weekend offered two famous American custom builders, John D'Agostino and Jimmy Shine. Here they go loose on a way too high roof. This race car is to my taste but wait, what's that in the background? An own construction perhaps, tough anyway, someone who knows more about it? Perhaps inspired by this Fury? One of the many pleasant Mopars we saw at the show. This one in drivers condition. Interest in Mopar in Finland seems to be a little wider than in Sweden. The wide interest in motorsport reflected in these wild Valiants! Wildest of them all........ When we're on the motorsports I have to show this one. The only car that crashed as pacecar at Indianapolis. These buses shows the width of the interest. The brothers of blues offered entertainment from the stage! While we enjoyed this Challenger! Nice ride! Perhaps middle age is lower for automobile enthusiasts in Finland? Do not know but I saw several younger who watched this Challenger. But who could resist..... Difficult to resist was also this Plymouth from Norway! A popular feature was the hairdressers who made classic hairstyles for young and old. It was also offered to get professional help with makeup. Why? Because when Blues Brothers were finished, it was the girls' turn to take care of the entertainment. Need I mention that we had a great time.... :)
