Veteran Posts: 153 Location: Massachusetts | These shots were taken by an employee of LaBrecque Autocraft (East Windsor CT) who moonlights as a photographer for weddings and so forth. Being a master body guy who loves cars he is quite good at capturing automobiles. I must have 75 shots he did, one better than the next. These shots show the car as she is today and as she was when I finished the build in 2007. From 2008 to last spring she wore radials up front & Micky Thompson drag radials in the back. But Mike LaBrecque convinced me to put her original rubber on for the Connecticut Dragway Reunion Crackle fest last spring and she looks so good I didn't have the heart to swap them back. However, she is a handful to drive like this, with the radials she was pleasant on the highway at 80+. Below are some shots with her radials on...and a definite personality change. There's also a shot at Mark's next to the 62 Savoy LaBrecque did for another customer well before my car and which inspired my build - even though it came 5 years later. Looking forward to Mark's...hell looking forward to firing her up for the first time this season, hopefully within the next week or two. Kind regards, Danny Plotkin Edited by dplotkin 2014-03-30 9:40 AM (Savoy Epping e.jpg) (Savoy Epping f.jpg) (Savoy Mark's small.jpg) (Savoy Mark's small 2.jpg) (Savoy Mark's small3.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Savoy Epping e.jpg (89KB - 183 downloads) Savoy Epping f.jpg (93KB - 186 downloads) Savoy Mark's small.jpg (195KB - 241 downloads) Savoy Mark's small 2.jpg (158KB - 180 downloads) Savoy Mark's small3.jpg (202KB - 216 downloads)

Veteran Posts: 153 Location: Massachusetts | Those are 10-15 Firestone "dragster" slicks. I moved the springs inboard for clearance. Dan

Expert Posts: 2633 Location: Minor Hill, TN | Before my black '61 fury was destroyed a while back my dad wanted to pull out the 318 from under the hood of my car and put a 413 in its place. It would of been a 4bll carb not the cross rams. I said no because I got better gas milage with the 318

Location: Parts Unknown | I would be interested to know how 318 fans have been able to tweak them to get maximum good fuel economy, and what numbers they've been able to achieve.
