Re: IML: Auto Transporters

Check Intercity Lines, I had very good service from them for a 1941 DeSoto move from Sacremento to Syracuse.  And the price was reasonable for the service rendered.

Wow!  That's gonna be a cultural adjustment not to mention a weather adjustment!

As far as your question goes, that does seem a bit high for transportation costs to me, but I haven't anyone to suggest for you.

Subject: IML: Auto Transporters

Hi IMLer's;

I have a question for you all about auto transporters. We are moving from San Diego,
California to West Memphis/Arkansas area and I got a quote from United Van Lines
for moving our furntirue and shipping my 61 Imperial and my wife's 97 Toyota RAV 4.
They wanted $4000 to ship my Imperial and $2000 to ship her car!! That seemed
ridiculously high to me! Does anybody know of a great car shipper that doesn't damage
you're vehicle and can get it to where we're going for a lot less money? Also, if you all do,
would you have a telephone number for them?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

                                               Sincerely,
