Thanks for all the replies, now i know for sure i can leave the
trans. in D at stop lights ..
Sorry to have forgotten the word "temperature" in my message : the
correct sentence was "(..) to avoid increase temperature of ATF
fluid" , w/o temperature the sentence was a bit funny ..

<  (...) May I apologize for the ones who do not remember that you
asked a question 
about the 1956 to 1962 TF transmission that had no "P" or Park
position (..) >

The question was also for other AT (with P position), i 've also a
B*ick ..
