Abe that was in New York. Suffolk County, Southampton township to be exact.
Each municipality will have different rules. A car cover or a carport
*should* suffice. However, there may be local rules that will not allow
this. Sometimes people get these notices when there isn't any rule on the
books and usually there are work arounds, but there are times that you are
out of luck.
