IML: 'circuitbreaker' controls

Rob:

A circuit breaker can control more than one item on the car.  The headlight breaker, however, is usually wired only to the headlights.  This is because if something is wrong with your headlights at night, the breaker will reset every few seconds, giving enough light for your to see safely and for others to see you.  If it just tripped and didn't reset, you could be in a dangerous position with no headlights.

@Bob: thanks for the very clear explanation, I didn't know for e.g. that
it protects in two ways.
In my case the magnetic kind of protection type must have "kicked" in..
But I am not that convinced...
According to other members of the list the circuit breaker of the
powerantenna motor also protects the rear cigar lighters circuit.
And they are still working.....

I have to investigate a little further I am afraid.
Of course I will tell the cause if I have found it out :)
