RE: IML: 1958 turn signal question

Rex:
Wow; this is like déjà vu all over again. My 58 doesn't cancel R/H turns
from the manual switch either, just buzzes, but does cancel
automatically from both directions. I have tried another dash switch, no
change. Since the cancel seems to work by connecting both inputs to the
controller to ground at the same time it would seem that if one way
works so should the other. The automatic cancel works on a rocker switch
and cam in the column. Remove your filler plate and it is visible. Take
out the cancel switch and operate manually to see if it will cancel both
ways. If so check the cam position and switch to make sure they line up.
If all seems OK looks like an internal controller problem.
An electrical engineer must have stayed up very late designing this
system!!
