Re: IML: interior lighting

There were no pocket panel lights in '63. The other lights are working the way that they were intended. Things were different 40+ years ago. When opening the front door, the front light came on. Opening a rear door made the rear light come on. These days all the lights come on when the key is squeezed. If you don't like it, I guess you can change it.

Subject: IML: interior lighting

My newly acquired 63 Custom does not have pocket panel lights in the doors and the dome light only goes on when a rear door is opened.  According to the wiring diagram on IML site, the front door switch does not even go to the dome light.  What gives?  Should I change that wiring so all four door switches are together?  Or is there a better way?  Thank you.  --Tom
