RE: IML: 'A604 cold movement

My 92 is in excellent condition except for 1 thing. As the weather gets
cooler, the transmission doesn't immediately go into gear. I had the fluiid
and filter changed last winter and this didn't help much. This car has
88,000 on it and this was the second fluid change according to the records.
I made sure the correct fluid was used, and hopefully it was the first time.

Is there another component that can be changed to improve cold weather
performance?

I'd start there. If the tranny causes any issues, there is at least one
A604 guru who monitors the Chrysler-MoparTransaxle Yahoo group. Going
there for specific help is what I'd suggest.

My only point was, the A604 is not a "bad" transmission, it's just one you
can't service and maintain like a A727 or A904.

So Brad, What tips can you suggest to those of us with this tranny that we
can do regularly to ensure proper service and maintenance? Do we just need
to have fluid changed with some regularity or is theere more to it? ( I ask
'cause I have a 90 in the family that we intend to keep for many years.

  Thanks, MAtt
