RE: IML: Fuel Tank - checking the sending unit



The Imperial is not the same for 67 and 68.  There is a relay under the
dash that controls the low fuel signal and effects the operation of the
gauge.  If you do find you need a sending unit do not buy the generic
Chrysler one that is frequently sold on ebay and my other Mopar places.  It
will not work properly on an Imperial due to the low fuel sentry relay.
