Self-Introduction: I am a long-time member of the mailing list, but am forced to re-subscribe due to a change to my e-mail address. For those who may not remember me, I am a member by association: my parents once owned a used champagne 1969 Imperial Lebaron 4-door hardtop sedan, with a black vinyl roof and black leather interior. The car left an indelible mark on my imagination and, subsequently, I was warped to the Imperial's luxurious furnishings. I am firm in my opinion the 'Fuselage' cars evoke the Space-Age that never was. Their clean lines belie their otherwise gross tonnage. Granted, I am pre-disposed to the '69-'73 generation, but I have also developed an appreciation for the 1960 models, the 1955 and 1956 Imperials, the 1961 to 1963 cars, and the 1981-1983 Iacocca coupes. My tastes often lead me to manufacturers besides the Chrysler Corporation, but I do acknowledge Imperial as America's most carefully built car!
