My thought is if an external seal kit from Pat Blaze will fix it, go

Subject: IML: Trans stop leak?
Would it be worth a try to fix a leaky reverse shaft o ring with some
stop leak or is that not the way to go? It's for my torqueflight on my
67 Imperial.
Thx,
Chris
