RE: IML: Imperials & AirStreams @ Tiger Run

If I can make it to the area by the 27th, I will join the festivities!  Will they let me in?  My Airstream is not “vintage”

BTW: The imperial and my new airstream are at the hitch shop getting fitted and I’m planning my first test run to Disney World next weekend.  YIPPEE!

Roger/Scott and everyone else who gave sage advice: THANKS!

For the 1967 and newer Imperials, Imperial Division did not need much to make it an "tow package" they just added an transmission cooler, the 3.23 ( 8 3/4 ) or 3.21:1 ( 9 1/4 ) axle ratio, the trailer plug/ trailer brake assembly and the local made frame mounted hitch ( per MoPar's spec's at ABC's Welding Shop).  Prior to this the owner had to have the local metal shop "fabercate" the frame to hitch assembly from scratch.

My imperial is a 1968 convertible, but I don’t know what axle ration I have…  Before heading out on my 12-36 month mid-life-crisis tour of America, should I change the axle ratio to the 3.21:1?  I’d hate to mess with original equipment if I don’t have to.

Cheers,

Rodger,

Are you planning on attending this rally? My family and I are registered. I am debating about pulling our Airstream with our '65 Imperial. I hesitate because of the mountains, and the distance on an untested car.

Hola To All

...Here is your chance to see the Rocky's and show off the AS Travel Trailer that you have behind your Imperial.  We have pulled our 1970 Overlander-InterNational Dbl with the 66 Le Baron to such an event.  I can tell ya that just one stops the talking; ... just think if more than one showed up.
