IML: 440 intake leak?

I have my intake off because of a suspected vacuum leak. Is there anything I should look for on the manifold or the engine that might reveal an intake leak? Should I or can I use a sealant on the intake ports to be sure I get a good seal? Looks like the gasket and valley pan are one piece aluminum. Has anyone had problems with these in the past?

Thx,
Chris Strohmeyer
