Re: IML: two questions

The present WPC Club, Inc was formed in 1969 by Mr. Norman Frey and a group of believers.  Present headquarters are in Kalamazoo, MI (since 1993), led by Mr. Richard Bowman, the sixth President, elected initially in 1993.  Webmaster is Ian Smale.

The April issue of WPC NEWS has featured the annual international winter photo meet for a number of years.

I have three entries therein for 2007 including the 1962 Imperial.

Just my opinion, but I think that since this is an on-line club, it will have excellent staying power as location is not a factor in belonging or communicating with members.  I have learned a wealth of information, even if doesn't pertain to my particular Imperial, just reading the e-mails every day.  Prior to the internet, I believe the only way to get a national organization well put together was to have individual chapters throughout the country as the WPC club does/did it.  I joined the WPC club on-line, so I don't know if they've assigned me to a particular area based on my location, but I believe they've been around forever.  I got my first newsletter a couple of weeks ago from the 2007 photo meet and there was a first-place 1961 Crown Convertible winner and a 2nd place 1962 Crown Coupe.

Do the people who own those cars belong to the IML?
