Yeah, they actually look at the brake linings. And the drivers window must lower and rise, in case one has to give hand signals. No wonder Virginia is called the "old" Dominion. I'm surprised we don't have to shoot off flares at an intersection to alert oncoming trafic.This is only necessary because I chose not to license it as an antique vehicle, where driving is restricted to (I think) under 5000 miles per year.
We used to have vehicle safety inspections every 6 months! At least I am exempted from emissions testing.
