Sorry, I don't know the specific capacity, but I THINK there is a filter (a metal can about an inch long and half an inch around) mounted to the ground with a lead to the positive terminal. The transfer of material on the contact faces in an indicator of a bad capacitor/filter. Someone with more knowledge that I should be able to tell you the specs.

What would cause this? They burn a little pointed shard across them and they start sticking. I've tried a new regulator and the same thing. The alternator was changed recently too.
