RE: IML: 57 crown southhampton

Ken and Annette:

See my trunk pictures at http://www.imperialclub.org/Yr/1958/ErnieS/index.htm this is as correct as it gets. As stated elsewhere Gary Goers can provide the product which are all done in grey. That was ok as my originals were grey. Note on the interior carpets, Gary’s material is very good but the statement sewn and bound as original is not. I carpet I got from him was 2 large pieces with the front shaped for the tunnel, the rest was raw edge and oversize, to allow for custom fitting to your car I would suppose. After fitting and marking the carpet I took it to a carpet finisher to be serged around the edges as original.

Best regards:

Ernie and The Black Bitc_!!

i was examining the trunk of our newly aquired purchase to see what condition it is in.   The floor of the trunk and  the section where the  lock is located  is carpeted,  the sides and wheel arches  have a  cardboard shapes which hides most of the metal .  i was wondering if this is how it should be or if the trunk  would have  been completely fitted out with carpet .

the carpet in the trunk  is pale blue  but the body colour is copper [code N ] would the the carpet  have been  the same as the body colour ?

i have been on the  imp by year site but  cannot make out if the trunks are all carpet

kind regards     ken/annette   UK
