[FWDLK] Differences in 318 polys?

Hi Forwardlookers, as I debate rebuilding the orginal 318 poly in my 60 dodge
Dart
at this time or buying a running 318 poly to get the car going a little
sooner, I have
the following question I hope some one can answer, I have been told there is a
difference in the crankshafts in early vs later polys, (im assuming it would
be in the
output end) where the torque converter slides up against the flex plate,
perhaps a
longer end that prevents the convertor from sliding all the way to the flex
plate?, I
know the early vs late forged G.M. cranks were this way.whatever it is I was
told
it keeps it from mating to the torque flight, so can anyone tell me what years
of
polys will bolt up to my 60 with a torqueflight? thank you in advance
