All torqueflite push button boxes I've seen are the same (except for the
'57 & 58's having the little switch for engaging the starter with the
Neutral button). The difference from year to year was with the plastic
buttons. They would modify the bends and turns in them so they would appear
in different layouts on the instrument panel.

Also, even though the Torqueflites changed in '62, the pushbutton set-up
inside the car remained the same.

I would guess your problem is just a linkage adjustment.
