Radials on undamaged, structurally sound older rims will be fine.

I'm new to the list, so this argument may have been discussed before...

As to whether people should do it - that's another question.  Just wanted to
say that while I agree that radials enable our older cars to corner better,
wander less and even brake better when rapid stopping is required, I would
never put radials on any MoPar made before 1965.  I draw the line at Engel's
Chrysler restyle - my personal decision - and radials look fine on my '65.
To hell with the safety aspect, ForwardLook, and older, look silly with
radials!  The cars don't sit right.

Of course, I know that the right look is only a knuckle bar & new set of
tyres away should a car change hands - so I'm not going to have a hernia
over it.
