Oh...the fuel pump is for the fuel injection system, not the catalytic
converter....

This is way off the wall...

What you need is electronic sequential multi-point fuel injection, with
closed-loop exhaust gas oxygen sensor feedback and a 3-way catalytic
converter.....which requires an electric fuel pump and ~40(?) psi fuel
pressure.....

Just kidding.....
