I have used Testors Florescent Red paint markers in the past. They seem to be a
near-exact match to the NOS gauges I've picked up, but the color may be
different from my '58 to your 56. They also have a nice flat finish like the
original.

I ran across that same problem with my motorcycle a few years back, and found
that Radio Shack makes a staggering variety of halogen bulbs that work great.
I've used them in my Ch--y dash and also in my F--d with no problems either.

Also, while getting solder for my radiator tonight at Home Depot, I ran across
Semi-Gloss black paint. I believe it's called Designer Colors brand, by
Rustoleum. A brief test tonight shows a fairly good match against Eastwood's
semi-gloss. Nice deal, too, as Home Depot's brand is $2.24 and Eastwood's rings
up at over $8.
