All three of my 50 T&Cs have them. Have worked on them in one of them
(three times in a week) and they are really quite easy to work on--ONCE YOUR
FIGURE THEM OUT!!!. Dual plates inside them spread apart when the brakes
are applied and they press on the outer shell. Work very well when set up
and are the first self adjusting brake I know of also.
