Re: [FWDLK] Question re: 3spd. trans cable

You'll need the later cable for sure.  Don't remember seeing answeres to your previous questions:  The intake maniforl definitely won't fit.  the spindles have to be pressed out of the lower arm nut and all.  Automotive press with a bar in the hole on the shaft with the nut; then pressed back on once the bushing is changed and the nut tightened and cotter keyed.  New floorpans: That would be nice, but your hood doesn't say Chevy so not available.

Subject: [FWDLK] Bits and BobsA few things that I need help on: 1) I've been offered a dual quad setup from a '57 DeSoto for $1000. Will this fit a '58 Plymouth 318? (I'm told it came off a DeSoto hemi so I don't think it will - just living in hope....). Does the price sound about right or is it too much - apparently everything's mint. Lastly, if it won't fit the 318, does anyone want it?2) Dismantled front suspension on the Plymouth last week to detail it and replace all the bushes. Bottom suspension arms are attached to a 'spindle' that go through the engine crossmember. How do you separate the spindle and the bottom arm? I can see a nut and a split pin if I look down the torsion bar side, but there's no way to get at it.3) Are floorpans available for a '58 Savoy two door from any NOS/new manufacturers? Thanks in advance,Anthony Knight
